Link green IT and sustainable business

IT-supported improvement of sustainable business processes in companies is constantly gaining importance. Intelligent IT systems, which can help to save energy, face a rapidly increasing demand although there is an undoubted backlog in some parts of the industrial practice regarding green IT. The CSCP held a workshop on Vision 2050 with IT companies to identify how IT could also support sustainable lifestyles.

 

Green IT and Business
We are glad to participate in the opening event of BeFIT, a dependent of Fraunhofer-Institut for applied information technics (FIT) linking green IT and business. Established on the professorship for business information systems and new media of the University Siegen, BeFIT will offer scientific support on IT-based sustainability improvements to regional industries.

 

CSCP contributes visions
The opening event will include inspiring lectures and interesting discussions. Among IT and sustainability experts Michael Kuhndt, Head of the CSCP, will provide a presentation. In accordance with the event’s core topic “Sustainability and Enterprises” he will present visions on how sustainable business models, products and services could support a one-planet-lifestyle.
