Sharing Economy Documentary on TV

TV network Arte featured a Theme Night on Sharing Economy on Tuesday, 14 October 2014. In two documentaries, which can be accessed online until the 21 October 2014 here (part 1 / part2), the Sharing Economy trend is presented on a global level. The films show the origin of Sharing Economy in San Francisco, present pioneering companies and discuss the drivers and potential impacts of Sharing Economy. Michael Kuhndt, Director of the CSCP is featured in the films giving his views on this rising topic.

The CSCP is currently finalising a report on Sharing Economy. Based on a global survey of 109 Sharing Economy initiatives, its purpose is to gain an understanding of the Sharing Economy initiatives' business models, the enablers and success factors as well as the barriers they are face with. Aiming at contributing towards the establishment of framework conditions for a sustainable Sharing Economy, it identifies opportunities for Sharing Economy and further support required to yield these. The report is being developed together with Akatu Institut for Conscious Consumption (Brazil) and Columbia Business School (US) and is supported by OuiShare and Shareable. The research is being conducted as part of the World Economic Forum’s Global Action Council on Sustainable Consumption and is to be published end of the year.
