Part Time Sustainability MBA Opening Ceremony, Mannheim

Mannheim: On September 4, 2013 a number of recognized experts aimed to identify an optimal pathway toward a sustainable future at an event hosted at the University for Applied Management Studies (HdWM) at an event of the University for Applied Management Studies (HdWM). Prof. Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker, co-chair of the United Nations Environment Programme and co-president of the Club of Rome, spoke on the topic of “Ecological Modernization: The safest workplace–strategy.”

A laudatory speech for Von Weizsäcker was also given by HdWM professor Lars Castellucci.

 

 

Among the 120 guests the HdWM president Prof. Dr. Franz Egle welcomed Dr. Nadine Pratt of the CSCP as one of several honoured guests. Ms. Pratt also took part in a panel discussion on potential opportunities to advance sustainability among international experts from the fields of economics, science and politics. The clear opinion among the experts is that more education and research projects are required to fully realize the potential opportunities. The HdWM established a part-time MBA study programme to which the CSCP will contribute an a conceptual level as well as deliver two interactive modules.
