Conference: How to identify, optimize and communicate sustainable products

Nachhaltige Produkte - aber wie?

Erkennen. Optimieren. Kommunizieren.

4. December 2013 | GS1 Germany Knowledge Center, Cologne

Sustainable products - but how? This is the motto for a conference in Cologne on December 4th. Retailers and manufacturers face the challenge to implement sustainability into applied value chain management. Among others, the CSCP has developed a tool to identify the value chains' hotspots, the steps with the biggest impact - and the greatest potential for improvement. How retailers and suppliers - especially SME's - can jointly improve those hotspots and how they can communicate their successes afterwards without being accused of green washing, is the main topic of the conference, organized by GS1 Germany.

Questions addressed in the conference are:

  • What does sustainability mean for my products?
  • How can wide ranges of products be improved towards sustainability?
  • How do the legal circumstances evolve?
  • How can sustainability drive product innovation?
  • How can I successfully promote sustainability?

Target group:

Management and practitioners from

  • Sustainability, CSR, compliance department
  • Environment, health and security department
  • Quality management und control
  • Product development, management und design
  • Buying department
  • Category and key account management
