bigEE Brochures: Policies for Energy Efficiency in buildings/appliances

The purpose of bigEE (bridging the information gap on Energy Efficiency) brochures is to address the needs of policy-makers with regard to options for energy efficiency improvement in buildings and appliances respectively. They provide an overview to economic, social, environmental and health benefits of energy efficiency and explain existing barriers to energy efficiency in the market together with the associated incentives for investors and policy-makers. At the core of these brochures is the bigEE recommended policy-package for energy efficiency. Besides explaining how does bigEE recommended policy-package look like, what instruments does it comprise of and how do different components interact in a comprehensive policy package for energy efficiency, the brochures also provide practical examples of countries which developed and implemented such policy-packages.
